A Modern House On Rugged Terrain In Chile

Located in Huentelauquen North, a part of Chile where the green valleys end and the dry landscape of soft hills begins, Casa C14 exemplifies the simple South American design aesthetic.
The house was commissioned by a graphic designer and a journalist couple who appreciate aesthetics and simple lines. Made predominately of wood and reinforced concrete, it also has a big terrace with a view to and the vast landscape, defined by rocky shores, cactus and shrubs. The terrace is build along the slope, which connects the house to the land. The area tends to be very windy, which was also considered while designing Casa C14 – the set of fences provides the protection from strong winds while its transparency unveils the stunning view to the South Pacific Ocean.
