Nestled in the verdant Yucatan jungle, ‘Casa Aviv’ is a tranquil holiday home flooded by sunlight and filled with garden views, in which to unwind and tap into the beauty and richness of coastal Mexico.

For many decades, Tulum has been a magnet for international tourists and a playground for architects and aesthetes, thanks to its stunning archaeological treasures, glistening waters, and white-sanded beaches. For many, the Caribbean town has become the ideal place to isolate and escape into the wilderness of nature—and ‘Casa Aviv’ invites guests to do precisely that. Located in a relaxed residential area yet in tune with its lush surroundings, the two-story vacation rental offers a private oasis just a short distance from downtown, the beach, and the region’s crystalline natural sinkholes, known as cenotes.

Built and designed by local architecture firm CO-LAB, the rental house comprises two conjoined parallel volumes with high ceilings and warm gray polished cement walls, gently contrasted by black terrazzo floors and charred cedar wood carpentry. With four en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and open-space dining and living areas, it can accommodate up to eight guests. An infinity pool and a sunbathing rooftop with potted plants and lounge furniture connect its minimalist indoors to the outdoors, while skylights and floor-to-ceiling glass doors bring daylight in, lending the space a warm and intimate atmosphere. The space is furnished with a vernacular sensibility: minimal touches, earthy textures, muted tones, and custom-designed furniture manufactured by local artisans further contribute to the tropical and sophisticated ambience. Alongside its elegant spaces, additional services are offered by the concierge, from tours and excursions to private chefs and massages, making it the perfect place to focus on well-being and to rebalance under the Mexican sun.
